Renewal Fund
At our Celebration Dinner on Wednesday, November 29th, we released our 2023 Annual Report and announced the creation of the Renewal Fund.
As we’ve grown as a church, we see the need to be prayerful and intentional with our funds and future plans. We sense that we will likely need a more permanent facility before focusing on church planting—although that’s in our long-term plans. In this season, we want to offer an opportunity to give above your regular tithes to create a financial reserve for our future needs.
We don’t anticipate leaving CFS any time soon; we’re actively pursuing to renew our lease for several more years. But as CFS is seeing significant growth (and we are too), they may not be able to rent to us forever. In the event that we couldn’t meet there much longer, it’s becomes increasingly difficult to relocate a larger congregation.
The Renewal Fund is not a full campaign; it’s a savings account to give us a good foundation for future growth. We envision the need to purchase, renovate, or build a facility in the next five years, and having a portion of the funds already on hand will help us stay focused on ministry. If we wait to intentionally build savings, we run the risk of needing to focus on an intense season of fundraising down the line.
Our Renewal Fund is focused on Trinity’s future growth (church building and local church planting) but also includes a minimum of ten percent funding to establish Serve 573, a nonprofit mercy ministry, as well as a global church planting ministry. We anticipate formally starting these two ministries in the next five years also.
What exactly do we anticipate in the next 5-7 years? We’re praying for continued sustainable growth. Of course, we’re not a strategy-led church, we’re a prayer-led church. In prayer, we believe God has put in our hearts the desire to reach people locally, plant churches around Central Missouri, meet the practical needs of our community, and equip church planters and missionaries to go out across the country and to the nations. This Renewal Fund is a great next step in seeing all this happen!
