Prayer at Trinity

Prayer is the work of the church

Prayer holds all of our beliefs and values together. We exist for communion with God together. We pray for God’s grace to be extended to us and to all.

We make space in our worship gatherings and community groups for open prayer, we hold prayer meetings throughout the week, and we hold special times of extended prayer each semester. Our desire is to be a powerhouse of prayer for our city and our world.

Prayer Gatherings

Sunday mornings - Our pastors and leaders gather one hour before each Sunday gathering at 7:30am & 9:30am in the large Prayer Room (first classroom on the left in the office wing). We pray for our congregation, the gathering, and all who serve. It’s a great place to first join prayer at Trinity.

In-Service Prayer - During communion every week, we have trained prayer leaders available in the front of the auditorium to pray with you. This is an opportunity to receive prayer before leaving church.

Lunch Hour Prayer - Twice weekly, we have an open prayer and worship time in the large Prayer Room. We pray over the needs of one another, the church, the city, and the world.

  • Tuesdays, 6:45-7:45am

  • Wednesdays, 12-1pm

Friday Night Prayer - One Friday night per month from 6:30-8pm, we gather in the auditorium for a time of prayer and worship. Our leaders may guide us through a prayer technique or certain topic. We have plenty of time to pray for each other, our church, and the world.

Worship, Prayer, & Fasting

Twice a year, we commit as a church family to three days of worship, prayer, and fasting. Typically at the start of each semester, we’ll begin with our Sunday gatherings and hold additional worship and prayer times through Tuesday evening. Members are encouraged to fast from food during these three days, but you’re welcome to fast for a shorter amount of time or from something other than food.

During worship, prayer, and fasting, we also seek to cover every hour in prayer, with various individuals or smaller groups covering an hour at a time.

It may seem difficult to pray for 30 or 60 minutes; indeed it often is! But consider this an invitation to grow in your relationship with God through prayer. Our prayer guide includes several biblical prayers and passages on prayer for your meditation. We also include prayer requests from our church, for our city, for our leaders, and for our ministry partners around the world.

If your desired time slot is already taken, just sign up alongside another person. If you want to pray with a friend for your time slot, we encourage that as well.

Here’s a prayer guide to help you get started!
